The brief

What the client was dealing with.

01

The agency needed senior build capacity it could rely on without adding permanent headcount, and without the quality swings that come from rotating freelancers.

02

Work arrives across four platforms — HubSpot CMS, WordPress, Shopify and Webflow — so the build partner has to be genuinely fluent in all of them rather than specialising in one.

03

Deadlines are already committed to the agency's own clients before the brief reaches us, which leaves no room for scope discovery halfway through a build.

04

Everything ships under the agency's brand, so nothing in the code, admin, documentation or email trail can reveal a third party was involved.

Our approach

How we worked through it.

01

Direct delivery, no relay

Every project is built by the same senior developer who scoped it. There is no outsourcing chain and no account manager translating feedback, so detail does not get lost between the agency's client and the person writing the code.

02

Platform-appropriate choices

HubSpot CMS when the client runs the HubSpot CRM and wants pages and contacts in one place; WordPress or Webflow when content flexibility matters more; Shopify when the brief is commerce-first. The platform follows the brief, not our preference.

03

Fixed scope before build

Each brief is turned into a written scope with hours, milestones and a not-to-exceed number before work starts. That is what lets the agency quote its own client confidently on day one.

04

Staged review links

Work is shared on staging or an unpublished HubSpot page at each milestone, with one consolidated feedback round per stage. Fewer, better-structured rounds keep committed launch dates intact.

05

White-label by default

Themes, modules and templates ship in the agency's naming conventions with admin access handed over in full. Documentation is written for the agency's team to maintain, not to lock work behind us.

06

Continuity between projects

Because the same person has been in these portals for years, small change requests and emergency fixes do not need re-onboarding — context is already there.
